Some Background

Hi, my name is Sina and a while back, me and my brother, Reza, decided to release a small flash game for a competition. We called the game Toast of War.
Reza is really into art and I have always been into the technical side of things, so we decided to stick together as a team and form Common Studios, a game development studio devoted to making fun and creative games.

Well, we didn't go in trying to make a game development company, just a game.

So, we worked on it when we could and put plenty of effort into it, but with poor planning we saved so much work for the last minute that we couldn't finish it on time and had to submit it incomplete. Submitting unfinished work was no fun at all, even though people seemed to like it anyway, although it was unfortunate to see negative reviews from people who had beaten the game but couldn't reach the final boss because I hadn't scripted it yet.

Anyhow, two days later we released an update that would add some polish to the game, as well as add the ending boss to it. We surprisingly received a lot of positive feedback to a game that we considered fairly mediocre.

Seeing this, we talked a lot about what we could accomplish if we did things right, and just made games, not for competition, but for fun.

Consider this a new Common Studios, where the games we make roam free, swim for miles with the friendly purple jellyfish, have plenty of food and water, and play with each other just for shits and giggles.
